DQ: 4. What are your external catalysts of joy? Does your education enhance or impede them?
My external catalysts of joy would be, silence in the outdoors, watching squirrels play, hearing birds sing, and as of right now seeing the leaves change color and watching the sun go down on them. I have a plethora of others but these are my favorite 'joys' early in the morning. Education is also an external joy, but I think one needs to being careful because it can lead to interference, or slowness of experiencing joy. I think I've heard before that extremely smart people can become depressed and sad. I think that can definitely be true when taking in so much intelligence and trying to make sense of a lot of ideas, thoughts, concepts etc.
