Blog Post #2

When looking about what i wrote on the last post and how people that where in war in the old days made me think of how do the soldiers in this  day and age feel? Are they happy as well? Well this time when i talked to soldiers in the war now of days it gave me a lot of insight of how they feel and if they truly are happy with the surrounding that they are by. When talking to Captain Roberts he was telling me on even when in war like the last post you have a lot to be happy about. But instead of having to only write letters you have computers to Skype and other sources that they didn't have back then which helps them have easier  access to talking to there family. Another thing he talked about was the support from the people around the world and in those countries. When they get letter or care packages from people that they never met it gives them hope on why they fight for there country. And it makes since to be honest, to have people that you never met send letters thanks them for risking there life for them puts a smile on there face. Another solider i talked to talked about how the people in the other countries make them happy. kids come and play and interact with them, they play games and show them there way of life. women prepare gifts to thank them for saving there lives from the horrible stuff that's happening all around. They show them that not all of them are bad people and they cant choose to not live in that environment. So once again my theory proved right that you still can be happy with whats going on around you and that even though its not good all the time its what you make of it and take out of it.

  1. And yet, so many combatants are severely emotionally wounded. The resiliency of those who are not is truly impressive.
